Hartford-based attorney George A. Pelletier Jr. has been named to the partnership at Cantor Colburn LLP.
The intellectual property specialty law firm also named Dave S. Christensen and Daniel R. Gibson as counsels in Hartford.
Pelletier is partner in the Trademark and Copyright Department in the Hartford office. He brings more than 12 years’ experience in the trademark and copyright fields, with a focus on counseling, protecting and enforcing trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secret, and related intellectual property rights, domestically and overseas. He is also adjunct professor at Western New England University School of Law, teaching Trademarks and Unfair Competition, and regularly lectures at the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Christensen has been practicing law for five years as an attorney and before that for 10 years as a Patent Agent. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn in 2007, Mr. Christensen held in-house intellectual property positions with both Fortune 500 and startup companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Christensen was an engineer for both E. I. DuPont and General Electric and is a named inventor on over 35 U.S. patents covering commercial products in the medical product, electrical distribution and renewable energy fields.
Gibson coordinates and manages global utility and design portfolios for large and medium sized international corporations, and provides extensive opinion work pertaining to non-infringement, invalidity, and guidance.
Victor Kernus and Howard I. Levy were named counsels in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
