Restaurant and lounge Beauty & Essex will open in an 11,000-square-foot space at Mohegan Sun next fall 2023, the casino operator announced Thursday.
The trendy pawn shop-inspired restaurant will be located in Casino of the Sky near Starbucks.
This marks Mohegan Sun’s second partnership with the company that owns Beauty & Essex, Tao Group Hospitality Group, which was acquired by New York City-based Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. in 2017. The company also operates TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge at Mohegan Sun.
Beauty & Essex has locations in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Beauty & Essex was created by chef Chris Santos and serves global cuisine and shareable dishes, from smoked bacon and tomato soup dumplings to Togarashi spiced tuna.Â
Santos, who grew up in Rhode Island, will participate in the Celebrity Chef Dine Around at the 19th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest at Mohegan Sun, which is set for Jan. 28.
