Bristol’s Patriot Manufacturing said it has acquired Quality Components Corp., whose owner is retiring.
Patriot, a metal-stamping provider and machine tool manufacturer, said the Plainville firm’s assets and customer relationships give it greater presence in its fasteners, hardware and electrical markets as well as presence in new markets, including automotive and appliances.
Quality owner Wendall Theriault is retiring after more than 30 years in business.
The terms of the deal, which was effective Aug. 30, were not disclosed.
Patriot was founded in 2006 through the acquisition of Stanhelm Mfg. Co. in Bristol. The company acquired Plymouth’s BES Designs in 2010 and the waterjet segment of Preston’s Nutmeg Tools last year.
