Pasta Vita to close 4 of its 5 remaining locations

An Italian restaurant chain specializing in “gourmet-meals-to-go” with locations in Greater Hartford is closing four of its five locations.

Pasta Vita announced on Facebook that it will permanently close its restaurants in Avon, Mohegan Sun, Wethersfield and South Windsor effective July 14.

Its original location in Old Saybrook will remain open.

Pasta Vita was founded by Rich Cersosimo, who retired from a 30-year career at IBM, and Lou Castanho, a distinguished chef. In 2020, it opened a location in Darien, which closed earlier this year.
