Quinnipiac University named pediatrician Sam Parrish the associate dean for student affairs at its fledgling Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.
Parrish will coordinate the medical school’s student services, including counseling, advising, student programming and academic assistance. He will also teach.
The school’s inaugural class begins in fall 2013.
Before coming to Quinnipiac, Parrish was the senior associate dean of student affairs at the Drexel University College of Medicine.
Parrish earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina. He also holds a chemistry degree from the College of Charleston. He also is an active member in the Association of Medical Colleges and the Society of Adolescent Medicine.
