Pamper Plank Is Back

Connecticut Light & Power (CL&P) has donated and installed a utility pole at the challenge course behind East Hartford Middle School that is used by the Adventures Build Character (ABC) program. Last year, a lightning strike brought down one of the course elements, the “pamper plank.” CL&P’s donation allows this element of the program to be reinstalled. Each year, approximately 600 East Hartford Middle School sixth graders participate in the ABC program and experience the challenge course. During a dedication ceremony, CL&P President Ray Necci, left, was thanked by facilitator Star Logan, center, and ABC program coordinator Linda Chamberlain, right, and some of the East Hartford students who participated in this year’s program.
