Gov. Dannel P. Malloy intends to reappoint Sharon Palmer as commissioner of the state Department of Labor for his second term, he announced Tuesday.
Palmer has headed the agency since Aug. 2012.
Under her watch, DOL has pursued unemployment insurance fraudsters and employers who deliberately misclassify workers, implemented the Subsidized Training and Employment Program, and launched online tax filing for businesses, among other initiatives.
