Oxford airport development zone lands manufacturer

The Connecticut Airport Authority has approved special tax incentives for manufacturer Autonomy Technology, the first business to take advantage of the Waterbury-Oxford Airport Development Zone.

The Oxford location will be the first Autonomy Technology facility in the Northeast, as it already operates out of Oregon, Alaska, and Nevada. The company. manufactures cable assemblies, generator connection systems, and voltage switchgear to customers along the east coast.

The company plans on adding 18-20 new, full-time positions in Oxford over the next two years.

The state airport authority urged the creation of development zones around the Oxford airport to increase its use and economic activity in the area.
