Otis Elevator Co. announced Wednesday the Farmington company won a 10-year contract to continute to maintain 105 units at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France.
The contract includes 23 Gen2 elevators with energy-saving ReGen drives, along with 43 Otis elevators, 13 escalators, and 12 handicap-accessible elevators. The Gen2 system reduces energy consumption 75 percent compared to traditional elevators.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Otis has been the maintenance provider at the four buildings comprising the European Parliament since the main building was completed in 1999.
