Farmington-based Otis Worldwide Corp., a global elevator and escalator manufacturer, announced Monday that it will provide and install 76 elevators at Sobha Realty’s Riverside Crescent project, a luxury residential development in Dubai.
The order includes 50 Otis Skyrise, 12 Otis Arise and 14 machine-roomless Otis Gen2 elevators. The advanced systems will serve six high-rise towers, each reaching 71 stories and 817 feet in height. The elevators can operate at speeds of up to 13.4 mph.
João Penedo, senior vice president of Otis for Iberia, Africa and Middle East, said Otis has sold products in the United Arab Emirates for more than 50 years.
Sobha Realty is a major Dubai-based developer known for premium residential and commercial projects across the Middle East.
Otis employs 72,000 people in over 200 countries and territories.
