OSHA fines company for worker death

After a six-month investigation into a February underground explosion that killed a downtown Waterbury worker, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has fined Canton, Mass.-based American Electrical Testing Co. $4,900 for safety violations. Connecticut Light & Power hired the company to perform maintenance work on the underground system, but only American Electrical was issued a citation.
