Anne Evans, district director for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Connecticut, was scheduled to lead a state business delegation to Brussels last week on a trade mission to help small- and medium-sized businesses increase their exports.
The delegation had planned to fly from Bradley International Airport to Amsterdam and then travel by train to Brussels. Although Delta Airlines canceled its direct service plan, the delegation, which included U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, continued with plans for the trip.
Companies scheduled to take part included Capewell Components of South Winsor and Kama Aerospace of Bloomfield.
