🔒Old Saybrook retail plaza heads to auction block for $2.4M

An Old Saybrook shopping plaza anchored by Ocean State Job Lot and Dollar Tree is heading to the auction block this month with a $2.4 million asking price.

The 94,175-square-foot Shoppes at Old Saybrook at 901 Boston Post Road will be auctioned off March 22-24 on online auction site Ten-X.

The property consists of two single-story retail buildings located on the east/west commercial thoroughfare of Route 1, and is currently 96 percent occupied.

The 8.47 acre site also includes 337 parking spaces.

The property is owned by Basser Kaufman Saybrook LLC, which is controlled by Steve Kaufman, who is listed as a principal of New York real estate investment firm Basser Kaufman, state records show.
