Another product liability lawsuit against Middletown piping manufacturer Omega Flex has been dismissed.
A U.S. District Court judge in Ohio on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit that sought class action status. Omega Flex attorneys had asked for the dismissal, arguing that the plaintiff lacked standing and had not suffered injury.
Omega Flex has been sued by multiple insurers and property owners claiming that its stainless steel corrugated piping caused fires when lightning struck.
The company has booked a number of legal victories in the cases over the past several years.
