Road and bridge improvements will dominate the state’s transportation priorities through 2018, officials said today.
Projects slated for the next five years include widening of 2.7 miles of I-84 in Waterbury; replacing the Q Bridge on I-95 in New Haven and the Moses Wheeler Bridge on I-95 in Stratford; rehabilitating the Putnam Bridge in Glastonbury and the Merritt Parkway in Stamford; and making improvements to I-95 in Norwalk, according to an announcement from Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s office.
The state expects to have $1.8 billion this year for its transportation capital plan, which would be up $200 million from last year.
