• Baillie Hall & Hershman in Avon received a 2007 Connecticut Quality Improvement award for their use of an online ordering system to allow real estate clients to input their closing data. The firm won a silver entry level innovation prize.
• Hartford’s Camp Courant in Farmington hosted a “Go Active with Ronald McDonald” program to teach campers about living a healthy active lifestyle. Ronald entertained with magic tricks and songs about exercise.
• The Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. in East Hartford hosted 20 seventh-grade STARBASE students from Noah Webster Magnet school in Hartford for a workshop in the 3-D modeling and simulation theater. Students saw demonstrations of virtual reality simulations and designed a futuristic vehicle using modeling and simulation tools.
