• Deloitte & Touche in Hartford placed first in BusinessWeek’s “Best Places to Launch a Career” ranking which identifies employers for recent college graduates. Deloitte was selected based on extensive campus outreach, diverse career opportunities, collaborative environment and cutting-edge work/life initiatives. The company had placed third in last year’s survey.

 

• Don Carter, creative director at Adams & Knight, created the “Happy Monster Bank” TV program and characters that will air on the Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney program for preschoolers.

• Deborah Santy was selected as a 2007 Tibbetts awards winner. The national awards are given annually to small firms, projects, organizations and people judged to exemplify the best in SBIR achievement. Santy is director of the SBIR program at Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. in East Hartford.
