recently opened its
Graduate Business Learning Center
in Hartford. The facility is open to public use, particularly for the area’s conferencing and training needs.
• The
Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism
awarded
Clare Rossini
a $2,500 individual artist fellowship in support of the creation of new poems. Rossini is a visiting assistant professor of English and director of the Trinity College InterArts Program.
• The
Saint Joseph’s College’s
endowment rose to $18.5 million after three generous estate gifts from the following:
Mary F. Preston
, communicant of St. Peter Claver Church, $750,000;
Mary B
rosnon, 1944 graduate, $500,000; and
Morton A. and Marilyn Fineberg Elsner
, supporters of the Pope Pius XII Library at the college, $400,000.
