• The Connecticut Youth Forum received $10,000 from the Hartford Courant in support of its activities for high school students.
• The Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation received a $30,000 Miracle Day grant as a result of its participation in the annual CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce) World Markets Miracle Day.
• Verdell Walker, a Trinity College sophomore, has started the program Fan Out to collect fans and air conditioners for low-income families in Hartford who can’t afford these appliances during the summer months.
