• Travelers donated three laptop computers to the New England Air Museum to support the operations staff.

• Cashman & Katz Integrated Communications won the four following Mark of Excellence awards from the Connecticut chapter of the American Marketing Association for campaigns completed in 2006 – Nonprofit Public Relations Campaign: Be Healthy Connecticut; Integrated Consumer Marketing Campaign: The Connecticut Lottery Corporation Hot Series; Consumer Broadcast Campaign: The Connecticut Lottery Corporation Daily Games; and Nonprofit Integrated Marketing Campaign: Keep Connecticut Moving.

 

• United Way of the Capital Area received a $500,000 grant from Bank of America in support of families in the Greater Hartford region obtaining tax preparation assistance and unrealized tax refunds through the Earned Income Tax Credit. This grant will provide assistance to two state-wide and 31 local United Ways.
