• Solucient 100 Top Hospitals: National Benchmarks for Success named the University of Connecticut Health Center one of the nation’s top 100 hospitals. The center is one of 15 hospitals in the nation to be recognized in the major teaching hospital category.
• Christa Douglas, a student at Asnuntuck Community College, was selected as a New Century Scholar. Her application for the All-USA Academic Team received the highest score in Connecticut. She will receive a $2,000 scholarship.
• The Aurora Women & Girls Foundation and The Brown Rudnick Charitable Foundation Corp. donated a combined $8,000 in support of another year of the Women in Science Girl Scout Camp-In Program for Girl Scouts at The Children’s Museum, which promotes life sciences as career opportunities for girls.
