Klingberg Family Centers President to Retire
Klingberg Family Centers President Rosemarie A. Burton, who has been at the helm of the New Britain/Hartford-based multi-service nonprofit since 1993, has announced plans to retire this fall.
During her tenure, Klingberg Family Centers has developed a comprehensive range of programs for youngsters and families facing a variety of behavioral health issues. The agency has expanded their services from three to nearly 20 programs serving more than 2,500 persons across Connecticut on an annual basis. She also saw two major building projects to completion with the opening of the Tilcon Recreation Center and the construction of the innovative Raymond Hill School.
Mrs. Burton and her husband, Tony, plan to relocate to North Carolina to be near family and their twin granddaughters. Her next venture is the development of ‘By Your Side Coaching and Consulting,’ which focuses on providing leadership development, executive coaching, team effectiveness and succession planning services to organizations nationwide.

Law Firm Honors Service
Robinson & Cole honored two attorneys with the firm’s Pro Bono Award and two others with its Community Service Award in a ceremony at the Hartford Jaycees Boathouse. David J. Burke, a labor and employment counsel, was recognized for his work representing many organizations, including Latino Community Services and Stamford Emergency Medical Services. Jeffrey J. White, a business litigation associate, was acknowledged for his role in undertaking cases regarding racial disparity and also for his active involvement with the Center for Women and Families of Fairfield County. Community Service Awards went to Katherine A. Lane, a business transactions associate, for her volunteer service with Ridgefield ABC, a local chapter of the national program A Better Chance, Inc., and to Melissa M. D’Alelio, an insurance and reinsurance associate, who was recognized for her commitment to the Robinson & Cole ePals program and for her creation of a mock trial lesson plan. The firm also honored six with its Mentor of the Year Award: Craig A. Raabe, a business litigation partner; Stephen E. Cooper, a business transactions counsel; Carla M. Moynihan, a real estate partner; Nuala E. Droney, a business litigation associate; Kirstin M. Etela, an environmental and utilities associate; and Kate M. Carter, a real estate litigation and title insurance associate.
