ST. FRANCIS WINS AWARD FOR HEART/STROKE CARE

St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been recognized with a pair of awards.

St. Francis won a Silver Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Innovation Prize for creating the Connecticut Institute for Primary Care Innovation, a collaboration with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

The institute has a four-fold mission in the promotion of primary care: improve education for medical students and residents; increase retention of primary care physicians; conduct groundbreaking research on the delivery of primary care services; and assist practicing primary care physicians to keep pace with change.
