COBLEIGH NAMED TO DIRECTOR ROLE
Wayne Cobleigh, manager of project development for GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., has been appointed as the state director of the International Council of Shopping Centers for a third one-year term.
Founded in 1957, ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry with more than 55,000 members in over 90 countries. In his role as director, Cobleigh chairs the Leadership Committee and volunteer activities for the area and reports to the division vice president on issues and trends impacting the region. He is also responsible for the Program Planning Committee and appointing volunteers to lead local programs.

CONSTRUCTION EXEC ELECTED CHAIR
Terry Wooding, executive vice president of Petra Construction Corp. of North Haven, was recently elected chairman of the Building Division of the Associated General Contractors of America, a construction trade organization representing more than 30,000 firms in the construction industry, including general contractors, specialty contractors, service providers and suppliers.

PETERSON NAMED HEALTHCARE FELLOW
Middlebury’s Denise Peterson, vice president for patient care services/chief nursing officer at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, recently became a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a professional society for healthcare leaders. Only 8,500 healthcare executives hold fellow status, which represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development. To obtain fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years. The American College of Healthcare Executives is an international professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations.

DAY KIMBALL HOSPITAL HONORED
Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, part of the Day Kimball Healthcare system, has earned a Gold Seal of Approval for both its knee and hip joint replacement programs from The Joint Commission, a national accreditation organization. Day Kimball, recognized for meeting national standards for healthcare quality and safety in disease-specific care, underwent an on-site survey in late March. The Joint Commission surveyor evaluated Day Kimball for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.

GREENWICH HOSPITAL EXEC HONORED
Frank A. Corvino, president and CEO at Greenwich Hospital, recently received The American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award. Corvino was recognized for his exceptional leadership in generating grassroots and community support for issues of importance to hospitals and healthcare. The award was created to recognize hospital leaders who educate elected officials on how major issues affect the hospital’s vital role in the community, who have broadened the base of community support for the hospital, and who have been advocates for their hospital and its patients. The Grassroots Champion Award is presented annually to one individual from each state.
