CT MANAGEMENT GROUP NAMES OFFICERS
Kristin B. Mayhew, partner at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney and Carpenter LLP, and Philip G. Kane, Jr., vice president at U.S. Bank N.A., have been appointed as the chairman and president respectively of the Connecticut Turnaround Management Association – a chapter of the National Turnaround Management Association, a not-for-profit association of professional turnaround practitioners and corporate renewal professionals who work to strengthen the economy through the restoration of corporate value.

LAURETANO NAMED TO SIGN INDUSTRY BOARD
Mike Lauretano Sr. of Lauretano Sign Group in Terryville has rejoined the Board of Directors for the International Sign Association for another term. He represents the committee of past chairmen. Lauretano joined the family business, Lauretano Sign Group, in 1972, and has grown it from a local to a national sign company. He has been heavily involved in numerous industry groups, including the Connecticut Sign Association and the Eastern States Sign Council.

JANE DOE NO MORE AWARDS DINNER ON TAP
The Petit Family Foundation and Sikorsky Finance Women’s Forum will be honored during Jane Doe No More’s third annual Dr. Henry C. Lee Awards and Recognition Dinner on Friday, March 16, at The Waterview in Monroe. The Henry C. Lee Award is given to individuals or organizations that exemplify passion and commitment to finding truth and to improving the way society responds to victims of sexual assault.

INDUSTRY SET TO HONOR RIZZO POOL OWNER
The Connecticut Spa & Pool Association is hosting an Albert Rizzo Jr. Life Achievement Dinner event on Friday, March 23, at La Renaissance in East Windsor at 7 p.m. Rizzo Pool Company, Rizzo’s flagship, has been the recipient of several accolades and awards in the service and building segments of the industry. Albert Rizzo has been a proponent for licensing of all pool and spa professionals, spearheading the legislative battle and later victory for enacting the first ever service contractors’ license in Connecticut in 1999. He directed the industry and chapter effort for a pool builders license which was passed by the legislature and signed by Gov. Dan Malloy last June.

VIKING CONSTRUCTION WINS MERIT AWARD
Bridgeport’s Viking Construction, Inc. recently won a merit award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Connecticut for its role as general contractor on the $21.6 million Westwood mixed-income housing development project in Stamford. Viking managed the demolition, site preparation, and construction of the Westwood complex, which took 14 months to complete. It was built on 4 acres of land, and now consists of 95 handicap-accessible apartments in 10 wood-frame constructed townhouse-style homes.

main street foundation elects board
The Main Street Community Foundation, serving the towns of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott by improving the community through donor-driven philanthropy, recently elected board members during its annual meeting. Marguerite P. Fletcher of New Britain joins the board as a new member, while five members were re-elected, including: Michael Brault of Burlington; Pattie Dunn of Southington; Arthur Funk, Jr. of Burlington; Dan LaPorte of Southington; and Mark Peterson of Bristol.
