• CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, announced that Eastern Rehabilitation Network’s outpatient rehabilitation programs have been accredited for three years. The three-year accreditation represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded and shows the organization’s conformance to standards established by CARF. A CARF survey consists of a rigorous peer review process and must demonstrate to a team of national surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.
• The Advertising Club of Connecticut recognized the best in Connecticut advertising at the 55th annual awards show. More than 80 awards were given out across over 50 categories — from posters to outdoor billboards, annual reports to collateral, TV to radio, and web sites to corporate videos. Keiler & Co., in Farmington, won “Best of Show” with their “Born 2 Consult” viral marketing campaign for their client Deloitte while Think Creative Group of New Haven took the gold brush for the 116 Crown Web site and DW Advertising, West Hartford, was awarded the Gold Pen for the Wood-n-Tap Bar & Grill’s “Tap Tattler.” Top Gold Award winners were Adams & Knight with five, Cashman & Katz and Colangelo both with three.
• Cronin and Co., a full-service marketing communications company, received four awards at the Publicity Club of New England’s annual competition. The agency captured three Bell Ringer Awards and one Merit Award for public relations excellence. “We continue to be honored to receive recognition from our peers,” said Kim Manning, partner and chief operating officer for Cronin and Co. “We are extremely proud of the hard work the Cronin public relations team does to continually deliver innovative and creative campaigns for our clients that generate solid results.” The Bell Ringer Award is the highest honor awarded in each category at this regional competition that recognizes public relations achievements, as well as overall campaign effectiveness. The awards are designed to honor creative and strategic excellence and to encourage high levels of performance among public relations professionals.
