• Aetna announced that Floyd Green, head of community relations, was recognized with the 2009 Sankofa Award at the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s 2009 Black History Awards Celebration. “Floyd Green has been an outstanding member of the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Board of Directors,” said James Willingham, president and chief executive officer of the Urban League of Greater Hartford. “Mr. Green has served the greater Hartford community with distinction, and continues to serve as a role model for our youth.”

 

Noreen C. Reilly of Reilly Training Resources, was given the Presidential Award from The National Speaker’s Association — New England Chapter in 2008 for her efforts coordinating and facilitating The Fast Track Speaker’s Academy. Reilly serves on the Board of Directors for NSA — New England and is also a member of the Connecticut Chapter.

Christopher J. Amon has been selected as one of 68 financial planners from among 2200 across the country to join the Select Member Group of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp./ Sagemark Consulting, (LFA/Sagemark), as part of the firm’s Sagemark Consulting — Private Wealth Services program that focuses on clients in the “very high net worth” market. The criteria included a demonstrated commitment to client service, current success and a rigorous internal evaluation.

 

• Senior Vice President Mike Riccio, and Vice President Christine Kubas of CBRE Capital Markets Debt & Equity Finance division in Hartford, along with Senior Vice President Michael Sherman and Vice President Efrat Sharon of CBRE Capital Markets Debt & Equity Finance division in New York City have secured permanent financing for a 4-Property Portfolio in Greater Hartford totaling $34.2 million on behalf of the Kamson Corp. The In-house financing features a fixed-rate 5.91 percent, 10-year term loan with CME execution provided by CBRE Capital Markets Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer division. Properties included in the portfolio are Colonial Village, Glastonbury Centre, Loomis Manor & Brooksyde Apartments and Ribbon Mill. A total of 436 units, the properties are located in Plainville, Glastonbury, West Hartford and Manchester respectively.

Dennis Chalk, president, RSCC in East Granby was selected by the East Granby Chamber Board as “Business Leader of the Year.” He was presented with a plaque from the chamber and a proclamation from the Connecticut General Assembly by chamber president Bob Sproat.
