NYC-based burger chain to open in Stamford’s ShopRite Plaza

A new chain restaurant that specializes in smash burgers is set to open its first Connecticut location in a shopping center in Stamford.

Royal Properties Inc. has brokered a deal with 7th Street Burger to open a 1,491-square-foot restaurant in the ShopRite Plaza, which is near Exit 6 off Interstate 95.

Royal Properties said it has signed a long-term lease for the space.

7th Street Burger is a New York City-based burger chain that offers smash burgers, hand-cut fries and milkshakes. The Stamford location will be its 27th restaurant..

Jeff Kintzer, principal of Royal Properties, and Caroline Kintzer represented the landlord in the transaction. Peter Levine of Charter Realty represented the tenant.

Tenants in the 130,695-square-foot ShopRite Plaza include ShopRite, Banfield Pet Hospital, Orangetheory Fitness, Dunkin’, Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care, LaserAway, Fiesta Westside Peruvian Restaurant, Angel Tips Nail Salon, Domino’s, Dr. Dental, Maruichi Japanese Food & Deli and Buy the Bottle Wine & Liquor Store, among others.
