Veteran upstate New York news anchor-reporter Jodi Johnston will run media relations for Buffalo regional bank giant First Niagara Financial Group Inc., which has branches throughout Connecticut.
Johnston will be first vice president and director of corporate media relations for First Niagara.
She was anchor and reporter at Buffalo’s WGRZ-TV since 2000. Johnston has also served as adjunct professor of communication studies at Canisius College, where she earned both her bachelor’s in communication and MS in education.
First Niagara entered Connecticut in 2011, buying out former NewAlliance Bank in New Haven.
