NU Receives YWCA Award

The YWCA of the Hartford Region presented its Creating Opportunities Awards at the association’s 141st annual meeting. Northeast Utilities received its Corporate Partner 2008 Award. Northeast Utilities is a sponsor of the YWCA’s Money Conference for Women and the In the Company of Women luncheon. In addition, for several years, Northeast Utilities participated in the YWCA’s Camp Aya Po on United Way’s Day of Caring, providing tasks such as painting and raking and skilled labor and equipment to help cut trees, saving the YWCA thousands of dollars.
