Dime Bank President and CEO James Cronin announced his retirement Thursday, marking the end of one of the longest management careers in Eastern Connecticut banking history, the Norwich Bulletin reports.
Cronin, 65, will step down Oct. 1 but will remain as chairman of the Norwich-based bank’s board. Nick Caplanson, who has been Dime’s chief financial officer for the past five years, was named the new president and CEO.
