A Norwalk firm that operates an online insurance and employee benefits exchange is selling itself to a company in Atlanta, authorities say.
HealthConnect Systems, whose online quoting exchange provides a network for buyers and sellers of health insurance and employee benefits, has been by acquired Ebix Inc.
Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.
Officials from Ebix, which supplies software and e-commerce services to the insurance industry, said HealthConnect will immediately be integrated into its EbixHealth division.

HealthConnect’s exchange processes roughly 12,000 quote requests per day from 6,700 agents across 19 states. It has offices in Norwalk, New York and California.
