Norwalk-based HEI Hotels & resorts announced on Monday its contract to acquire its 42nd property, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
HEI operates hotels in 13 states, although not Connecticut. Its properties include 13 Marriott branded hotels, as well as Hiltons, Embassy Suites, Sheratons and Westins. Operations are based in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia.
The SpringHill Suites hotel at Newark airport has 200 rooms and 1,900 square feet of function space.
The hotel is undergoing a substantial renovation, including the front and back-of-house facilities.
