Norwalk industrial construction and contracting giant Emcor Group Inc. posted lower fourth-quarter profits despite higher revenues.
For three months ended Dec. 31, Emcor netted $36.7 million, or 53 cents a share, down from $40 million, or 61 cents a share, netted the same period in 2010.
Fourth-quarter revenues rose to $1.5 billion vs. $1.3 billion a year earlier.
For 2011, Emcor netted $130.8 million, or $1.78 a share, reversing the loss of $86.7 million, or $1.30 a share, in 2010.

Full-year revenues rose 16 percent to $5.6 billion vs. $4.9 billion in 2010.
