A specialty chemicals and ingredients distribution company in Norwalk has named a new president and CEO.
LBB Specialties announced Monday morning that Thomas Van Valkenburgh will helm the company, which recently opened a new headquarters in Merritt 7 business park.
Valkenburgh was previously president of the specialty chemicals business at Kerry Group, an international food and beverage company.
Before that, he was president of IMCD U.S., a global distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients.

Valkenburgh succeeds LBB’s former CEO, Hank DeWolf, who will remain with the company as a senior adviser.

LBB Specialties generates about $500 million in annual revenue and employs more than 110 people.
