An industrial building in North Branford has been sold for $850,000.
PP Connecticut Real Estate LLC and principal Pierre Pasteur sold the 21,100-square-foot building to PBA Construction Inc., in a deal recorded May 25.
The new owner plans to renovate the 2.6-acre site, with roof work, landscaping and facade improvements, then demolish office space inside and convert the building to a two-tenant setup.
The company, PBA Construction, will occupy two-thirds of the property and lease approximately 7,000 square feet to another contractor. Â

The building was occupied by Transmode USA Inc., a transport company, until the owner retired and the company was dissolved, according to  Kristin Geenty, SIOR of The Geenty Group Realtors in Branford, who represented the buyer.
Frank Hird, of O,R&L Commercial in Branford, represented the seller.
Built in 1965, the one-story building has a total appraised value of $913,900.
