My firm represents Friends of Animals, Inc. and Lisa Zalaski, a previous criminal defendant at GA 2 Bridgeport, in relation to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus protests which you described in your article, “Dealing With The Elephant In The Room,” April 30, 2007.
I would like to point out the representation made in the third paragraph, “some protestors cross the line, as evidenced recently when eight agreed to fines for interrupting a show in Barnum’s hometown of Bridgeport last fall” is inaccurate in its facts and, I believe, unfair in its implication. At no time did any individual “disrupt” a performance or engage in any criminal conduct. All criminal charges in this matter were abandoned by the prosecutor.
