Former banker Nicholas B. Mason has joined the board of Simsbury Bank.
A Simsbury resident, Mason at one time was chief financial officer for former Savings Bank of Manchester, now NewAlliance Bank, where he oversaw its finance, treasury and audit functions.
Simsbury Bank CEO Martin J. Geitz said the board intends to trade on Mason’s banking experience to help manage the $275 million-asset lender and its parent, SBT Bancorp.
Mason is a member of Simsbury’s finance board and is active in the Farmington Valley VNA, the Simsbury Light Opera Co., and SBM Charitable Foundation.
