NEWMAN’S OWN MAKES DONATIONS

The Newman’s Own Foundation presented more than $100,000 to various charities during the America East Conference Basketball Tournament at the University of Hartford March 3-6. This year’s top grant recipient was The Giving Circle in partnership with University at Albany’s Third World Impact, which received $25,000 in the foundation’s second-annual Campus Community Service Challenge. Additionally, several local charities attended the tournament through a Newman’s Own Foundation grant to the conference, including Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, The Discovery Center, Girl Scouts of Connecticut, Hartford Public Schools’ TeacherDollars Program, and Nutmeg Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
