Waterbury-based PrecisionX Group has acquired a specialty deep- and shallow-drawn stamping company, National Manufacturing Co., headquartered in Piscataway, New Jersey.
PrecisionX was formed after a Chicago-based private equity firm, CORE Industrial Partners, bought two manufacturing businesses last year and merged them into one.
PrecisionX is a combination of the former Waterbury-based GEM Manufacturing, a provider of precision deep drawn metal components, which CORE acquired in February 2023, and New Jersey-based Coining Manufacturing LLC, a provider of progressive die stamping as well as screw, CNC and wire EDM machining capabilities.
The addition of National Manufacturing to PrecisionX will help grow the Waterbury company’s customer base, according to an announcement.
National Manufacturing serves the aerospace and defense, electronics, industrial and medical markets, including implantable devices, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, batteries and capacitors.
National Manufacturing operates a 90,000-square-foot facility with more than 150 machines.
