Newington retail property fronting Berlin Turnpike sells for $1.3M

A freestanding Newington retail property on the Berlin Turnpike that previously housed Carefree Small Buildings has sold for $1.3 million, town records show.

The 3,087-square-foot property at 2530 Berlin Turnpike sold earlier this month. 

The buyer was 2530 Berlin Turnpike LLC, which is controlled by Steve Ensign of Massachusetts, state records show. 

The seller was Margus Properties LLC, which is controlled by Todd Gustafson and Brian Marvin.

The property was formerly home to Colchester-based Carefree Small Buildings, which sells outdoor storage buildings like sheds. 

The property was built in 1960.
