Newington manufacturer acquired by Cleveland-based company

A Cleveland-based company has acquired parts of Newington-based The Keeney Manufacturing Co.

Oatey Co., which manufactures and distributes products for the residential and commercial plumbing industries, acquired Keeney’s plastic injection molding operation in Winchester, New Hampshire; its distribution facilities in Buford, Georgia and Sparks, Nevada; and the stock of Keeney’s two international subsidiaries, Tubular Industries of Canada Ltd. and KMC (Jiangmen) Co. Ltd., according to Oatey.

Keeney manufactures and distributes plastic and brass tubular products like sink repair parts, strainers and toilet repair parts.

“The acquisition of Keeney enables us to provide our customers with an even greater breadth of products and adds the highly recognized and trusted Keeney, Plumb Pak and Belanger brand names to our product offerings,” Oatey CEO Neal Restivo said.
