The Newington Electric Co. will expand into a new 12,000-square-foot location on Pane Road in Newington within the next six months.
The new location is designed to showcase the company’s two new subsidies: electric vehicle charging station installer CT Electric Car and generator seller and repairer CT Home Generator Systems.
The new corporate headquarters will include an electric vehicle charging station showroom, and the parking lot will include a free charging station for anyone needing a quick charge.
The company is having a ceremony Wednesday with Newington Mayor Stephen Woods and Dan Esty, commissioner of the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, to showcase the new digs.
