New Yemeni coffeehouse, vet clinic coming to Stamford

Leases have been signed for three retail spaces in Stamford, two of them with the same owner in the city’s South End, according to a broker representing the landlords.

Stamford-based Kravet Realty has confirmed that property owner Andres Hogg, of Greenwich, has signed tenants for two of his properties, including a former firehouse at 670 Pacific St.

That’s where tenants Alexander Simunek, a veterinarian, and Andrew Kilbourn, a real estate agent, will open a veterinary clinic.

Simunek and Kilbourn, doing business as Our Three Dogs LLC, signed a 10-year lease. An opening date for the clinic hasn’t been determined.

SQ/FT Commercial Real Estate also represented Hogg in the lease deal.

Hogg also signed a tenant to a two-year lease, with an option to buy, for his building at 533-541 Pacific St.

The lease for the 5,280-square-foot space was signed by The Collective, a furniture store that plans to relocate from its current 15,000-square-foot location at 907 High Ridge Road. The store plans to move into the Pacific Street location this summer following renovation and will be renamed Trovare Home Stamford, store owner Pamela Frisoli said.

Separately, Kravet Realty said that landlord Daniel Schwartz, doing business as Summers Corner LLC, has signed a tenant to a 10-year lease, with an option to buy, for his 3,850-square-foot space at 61 Broad St.

The tenant is Qahwah House, a Dearborn, Michigan-based franchise of Yemeni coffeehouses, Kravet Realty said. The space was formerly occupied by City Furniture from 2014 to the end of May.

Qahwah has 23 locations nationwide, including four in New York City, according to the company’s website. It expects to open the Stamford location early next year.
