Robert Yorgensen, the new president and chief executive officer of Enfield solar manufacturer STR Holdings Inc., has taken a seat on the company’s board.
Yorgensen — the former president of STR’s solar division — took over Jan. 1 from Dennis Jilot. Jilot remains STR’s chairman.
Originally, Yorgensen wasn’t offered a board seat when he was chosen as CEO in mid-December, according to STR’s latest 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission..
However, he was elected to the board in late December, after Jason Metakis resigned his four-year-old seat. Metakis’ parting was amicable, the filing said.
