Three retailers and restaurant have announced plans to open in West Hartford’s Blue Black Square.
Umi Sushi, a “kaiten” sushi restaurant, is set to open later this summer. Also, a space for The Persian Rug Gallery is currently under renovation and opens in the fall, as is Toys R’ Us Express.
In addition, accessories retailer Charming Charlie will occupy space spanning two store fronts, space previously filled by Homeward Bound and an unoccupied space on Memorial Road.
Uncorked, a wine bar, and A Proper Smoke cigar shop recently opened.
“While we have seen some businesses leave Blue Back Square, the promising news is that we have great interest from new retailers that can’t wait to become part of the center’s growth,” said Barbara Lerner, project marketing manager for Blue Back Square
Blue Back has more than 30 stores and restaurants. Â
