New Starbucks proposed in Manchester

A new Starbucks has been proposed for a Manchester shopping plaza located off the highway, according to documents from the town.

The applicant, Basser-Kaufman 216 LLC, is requesting a special exception from the town to build an approximately 2,400-square-foot Starbucks with a drive-through within the existing ShopRite shopping center located at 210 Spencer St.

The Manchester Planning and Zoning Commission will discuss the application and potentially approve the group’s erosion and sedimentation control plan during a meeting tonight.

According to a review of the application from Manchester Principal Development Planner Megan Pilla, the proposed restaurant would be located on the northern portion of the lot fronting Spencer Street and would remain part of the shopping center parcel. The drive-through lane would have a 13-vehicle queuing capacity and begin on the west side of the building and wrap around the north side of the building.

Concrete sidewalks and a connection to the Spencer Street sidewalk would be added around the building, according to plans, and the coffee shop is proposed to have a patio area for outdoor seating and bicycle parking area.
