A veteran Small Business Administration employee has been named district director for the federal agency’s Connecticut office.
Anne Hunt has worked for the SBA for 35 years in the Massachusetts District Office and has served as its deputy district director since 2014. She succeeds Bernie Sweeney, who retired in September 2015.
Hunt, who will begin her new position next week, has held previous roles as lead lender relations specialist and chief of finance. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts School of Liberal Arts and an MBA from Salem State University.
“We are fortunate to have Anne Hunt as the new Connecticut District Director,” said Seth Goodall, SBA’s New England Regional Administrator. “With her knowledge of SBA’s programs and services, commitment to small businesses and her strong ties to the local lending community Anne will be an effective leader for the SBA in Connecticut.”
