A business that focuses on designing and building accessory dwelling units – often called “in-law suites” or ADUs – has opened in Norwalk.
Contemporary Tiny Homes, which formed last year, announced its first two sales on Wednesday afternoon: a custom-designed, attached ADU in Bristol and a detached one in Guilford.
Both dwellings contain one bedroom and at least 600 square feet of living space.
The Guilford project features Contemporary Tiny Homes’ “standard model,” with a bit of customization. The ADU in Bristol is fully customized.
Contemporary Tiny Homes says it works with customers from the first steps of designing their ADU through the completion of construction, including obtaining any local approvals that are required. Contemporary Tiny Homes also offers financing through several lending partners.
The company is based at 40 Richards Ave., Suite 700, in Norwalk.
