Another Connecticut hospital is expanding its emergency department.
New Milford Hospital will be spending $11 million to construct a new ED that will allow the hospital to expand medical services on its campus.
Once completed, the Emergency Department will be named “The Arnhold Emergency Department” honoring a gift from the Arnhold Family recently dedicated to the project.
Pending required approvals, the new ED will be built into the neighboring hillside in a park-like setting, doubling the size of the hospital’s space. It will include all private rooms and an eco-friendly design including a rooftop garden.
New Milford Hospital is a member of the Western Connecticut Health Network and has been going through a transformation over the last few years including adding to its physician staff and upgrading programs, infrastructure and technology.
